West Virginia Golf Getaway
Official Rules:
1. Sponsor: West Virginia Department of Commerce (The Development
Office, The Division of Tourism and the Division of Natural Resources –State Parks.)
2. Who can enter: Open to legal United States residents 18
years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. Only one entry per person.
3. Liability: The West Virginia Department of Commerce is not
responsible for misdirected entries or for errors, omissions, interruptions,
deletions, defects or delays in operations or transmission of information, in
each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions
of computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines
or data corruption, theft destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration
of entry materials, loss or otherwise. The West Virginia Department of Commerce
disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting in participation
in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this drawing,
and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or suspend
this drawing should any virus bug, unauthorized human intervention or other
causes beyond our control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness
or proper conduct of the drawing. Each online entry will be deemed to have been
submitted by the record holder of the email account from which the entry originated.
4. Selection of winner: To be drawn in a random drawing on
August 31, 2008, from all eligible entries received by noon that day. By participating, entrants
agree to abide by and be bound by the official rules and the decisions of the
judges. The winner will be notified by e-mail or phone. The trip must be completed within two years from the drawing.
5. Prize: The winner will receive a golf package for two guests, including two nights stay at either Stonewall Resort or Pipestem Resort
State Park.
6. Odds of winning: Odds of winning depend on the total number
of eligible entries received.
7. Winner responsibilities: Winner is solely responsible for
all other expenses not specifically set forth herein, including travel to Stonewall
Resort or Pipestem Resort State Park and any incidental expenses incurred before,
during or after the trip. The Winner is solely responsible for any taxes. Winner
will be required to show proof of identity upon check-in. Prize is not transferable.
No prize substitution or cash equivalent of prize will be given.
8. Release: By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless
the West Virginia Department of Commerce, the State of West Virginia, Stonewall
Resort, Pipestem Resort State Park, and any employees of above, from any and
all liability, loss or damage incurred by participating in this drawing and/or
the awarding, receipt, acceptance, possession or use/misuse of the prize. By
accepting the prize the winner agrees to the rights to release their name and
contact information for publication as winner of this drawing and grants the
West Virginia Department of Commerce any and all rights to said use, without
further compensation or notice unless prohibited by law.
9. Eligibility: The drawing is subject to all applicable federal
and state laws and regulations. Employees and immediate families of employees
of the State of West Virginia and employees of Stonewall Resort property management
are not eligible to enter or win.
10. Winners list request: For name of winner, send a self-addressed,
stamped envelope to West Virginia Department of Commerce, ATTN: WV Golf Sweepstakes,
90 MacCorkle Ave. SW, South Charleston, WV 25303.
